There will be more fans the first 10 homes games in Montreal than there will be in all 41 games in Phoenix.

Look, we have a gigantic, almost bottomless hole at center. When you start stories about putting Domi there, you have problems. Is Zedina or ktachuk capable of hiding that hole by themselves this season? I doubt it. So, i say go for the 2 year gap and take the two-way center.

Yeah, this team is gonna suck for a few years, til they can fill the gaps on D and get some of these kids experience. So I don't care if it takes a guy 1-2 years to get to MTL.

Also, they way the Habs (frank)-up players by drafting them and throwing them int he line-up the next year has not worked out at all.

Just pick the right player, regardless of when he can get into the line-up.

You do realize that Bobs list isnt his ranking, its a compilation of the scouts he surveys. Its not "his" opinion in any way.

Also many have said Brady "could " be better than his brother but there are also many who say he "could" be the bust of this draft.

Guys after #2 are all over the board on all the different lists, some with sperads of over 50 spots.

Zadina is a high-end sniper who isn't afraid or unable to use his body to get the puck on his stick. I say we need to pick him.
With Zadina, there is no "might be", "could be" or waiting "1-2 years". He is a proven commodity where as the others popping up might be on a streak.
Frankly, I wouldn't touch Brady with a telescoping 11 foot pole. The Habs need to get a player who can 1) Win a puck battle 2) Put the puck in the net. Once we get that in the draft, we can focus on a centre (O'Reilly/Stasny) or a defenseman, via free agency.
Load up on Centres in the second round.

Yes to Zadina. No to O'Reilly/Stastny. Yes to using all those 2nd rounders on C.

Would be nice if they could move up one of their early 2nd round picks and get Kupari/Lunderstrom/Dellandrea.

That would be great! Seems too logical for Bergy though...

Agreed.

I mean why would we want a rugged 2 way center that can put up 60 points consistently?

And he wins faceoffs

Ryan O’Reilly – 60.0% (2017-18)

Terrrrible !

If Montreal trades #3 for ROR, every Habs fan should take turns punching themselves in the face for letting it happen and then forbid hockey every to be played ever again in the Providence.

I don't see how they could get it done anyway (I don't think Pacioretty gets you O'Reilly). And even though it's Bergevin, pretty sure he wouldn't give the 3rd OA for ROR...at least I hope not...

Not a knock on O'Reilly at all... Let's put it this way, with what he just gave up to acquire Max Domi, what do you think it would take for MTL to get O'Reilly?

Even if it was O'Reilly straight up for Pacioretty, what are you left with? A team that will most likely finish bottom 5

Montreal would be better off having open invitations to fans. ROR isn't going to help much where this team is.
